Meat Supply will Be Added Ahead of Ramadhan and Eid

Jakarta Provincial Government through PD Dharma Jaya will add more beef supplies ahead of the upcoming Ramadhan and Eid ul-Fitr.

Franky Mangatas Panjaitan, Assistant for Economics and Finance predicted the selling price of some staples will increase 15-30 percent. It would also be experienced by beef. 

"Meat price is often increasing in early Ramadhan and ahead of Eid ul-Fitr. Responding the high demand, we will add its supply," he stated, Tuesday (5/9). 

40 Tons Beef Arrive in PD Dharma Jaya

Meanwhile, Marina Ratna Dwi Kusua, President Director of PD Dharma Jaya disclosed his party plans to prepare 700 tons of beef in order to stabilize its price during Ramadhan and Eid ul-Fitr.

"We'll import 1,300 cows from East Nusa Tenggara and 550 tons of beef type secondary cut from Australia," she told.

Through the qualified frozen and live beefs, he is optimistic it will have impact on price stability on the market.

"Eventually its distribution will be cooperated with PD Pasar Jaya," he closed.
